We stayed at this hotel during a motorcycle tour of Rajasthan in February 2024. A converted royal bungalow originally built in the 1940s, this hotel is a reminder of the elegance of bygone days. Our room was very comfortable and included a small sitting room all furnished in period style, and we had a view out over the very attractive garden and pool area. From the communal balcony outside our room’s door, we looked over the rear of the hotel to the stylish outdoor bar and entertainment area (with live music each night we were there) and the restaurant. There’s no lift, so be prepared for a few stairs if you’re on the upper floors! The hotel staff were helpful and efficient, and the restaurant offered an excellent range of very tasty options – Indian veg/non-veg and international. The central Jodhpur location provided a very good base for exploring the city and surrounds over a couple of days. If you’re looking for an enjoyable reminder of last-century elegance while visiting Jodhpur, this may be the hotel for you!

We booked Jodhpur Suit. It was a good spacious room with a big tv. and sitting area. Plus point is its located in defence area So at the time of booking, we were at peace that we were going to get a safe stay. Whole staff including front desk were very decent and polite. The property had a very unique Restaurant which we liked a lot. Food was good. We ordered fish-fingers and tandoori chicken. We had break fast too, there was not much spread but all the items served were good. I had pav-bhaji and omelette. Coffee and tea was also good. Bed was really comfortable. I enjoyed my sleep as I was too tiered of travelling. Washroom was neat and clean. I enjoyed soaking myself in tub. Towels kept were clean. Marble pieces kept here were really beautiful. OVER ALL IT WAS A RELAXING STAY! I would like to recommend this property if anyone visiting Jodhpur.

Compared to other hotels on this trip, Karni Bhawan did not match up. Dark and depressing rooms, rock hard mattress on a single bed, shower nothing but a dribble, ordinary breakfast. The staff in the restaurant were very nice but overall a feeling of shabbiness and disinterest.

They didnt let us check in and asked for more money. Scam hotel. Uneducated and non helping receptionist. Owner was not refunding our money 25k. Frustrating experience. Didnot pay any ateention to our querry.

The rooms are so dirty and third class that you’ll feel you have come to Hotel Descent. The food is no where near fresh and in fact it smells stale. The service is of no use. Don’t even bother. The rooms smell of old and mould. The manager has no clue what’s going on. If you are expecting hospitality, they don’t even know what that is
